Ground Hog Day

Our third race was a hot, long day. After a brief evening rain shower (down pour), the Empire crew did a great job of getting the track race ready. In the end, it was a repeat of our last race. In the Gasser class it was John Patterson in the “Tin Knocker” besting Brandon Iamele in the “Steiner Bros” car. This was John’s second win in a row. In the Mod class it was an all Mopar final as Mason Fix in his 1969 Dodge Dart bested past GRS Mod champion Mike Meeks in his 1965 Dodge Coronet (Schall’s Automotive). This was also Mason’s second win in a row. Again as in the first two races, we saw 5 rounds of competition in each class.
